muay thai shin pads…slip on’s vs. leather with straps?

hi all,
ive been training muay thai for a while and am sick of using the gyms
shin guards. Im looking to purchase my own.
Ive sparred with both the slip on kind and leather strap on kind and want to know which is BEST!?
i find that the slip on’s are easier to sparr with and the other kind are too heavy and i struggle with high kicks.

Any of the Thai brands…Fairtex, Twins, Windy, etc etc are pretty good. If you can get velcro instead of slip-ons that’d be better.
The leather weight of the shin guards shouldn’t be a problem. Don’t think of them as too heavy, think of them as a workout for your legs. If you can learn to kick well with them on, think of how well your legs will be without them.
