Has anyone experienced numbness in an area of the leg after getting hit in the shin?

I got hit in the shin/leg right next to it, it didn’t break, I don’t think it fractured, and it hardly hurts at all. It’s moderately bruised, and slightly swollen, and a very small area or skin got cut/scraped open. I’ve kept it well sterilized and have ocasionally kept pressure on it. My main concern is that a region about the size of an index card , starting at about the center of where I got hit spreading downwards feels numb, mostly numbness to pressure, but can still feel pain if the wound is bumped, and I still can tell when hairs are in contact with something. I’m just concerned about the numbness and hope someone can let me know of medical reasons for this, if they’ve experienced the same thing, or how long the numbness might last. (I got hit on saturday, and it’s not so much hurting as tender. It doesn’t hurt typically, and not even walking or jogging on it, but a light bumb sends fire up my leg).
