Can you replace a sport bike 2 gear alone, or the whole transmission gotta be replaced?

There was this sports bike i wanted to buy as my first crotch rocket.

No, it’s probably not worth it. If second gear is broken you will have to rebuild the transmission. If the owner managed to destroy second gear the motor has probably been over-revved. Also, if the bike has roller bearings on the crank, then that means the crank is probably pressed together, and if they missed a shift bad enough to break a gear then the crank will probably be twisted where it’s pressed together.
