How do you write a C program for designing a microcontroller based stop watch that counts from 00 to 99 second?

This stop watch will have a push button to START/STOP/RESET the watch ( microcontroller 16F864)
can someone write the program and explain it to me….( u guys r great if u do that)

You’d be better off writing it in assembly – you don’t have much memory in a 16F864. Use the CPU cycle time as your basic timer. (And use a slow clock to make things easier. It’s not a dynamic chip – it’ll run at any clock speed.)
